Facilitated by our esteemed Cyber Security Consultant, Mr. Steven Asante-Kusi, the training unfolded on the virtual platform Zoom. The aim was clear: equip every employee with the knowledge and tools to effectively safeguard themselves, their families, and the organization against the ever-evolving cyber threats. The training covered essential cybersecurity topics that are applicable to daily work and life scenarios. Among these topics were phishing, malware and viruses, hacking and intrusion. The goal was to shed light on these potential threats and educate employees on how to strengthen their defenses against them. The session lasted approximately 2 to 3 hours, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of critical cybersecurity areas. In addition to the more technical aspects, the training also delved into practical practices that contribute to a safer digital environment. Employees were provided with insights on crafting strong passwords, a crucial defense against unauthorized access. Moreover, the session emphasized the importance of not leaving devices unattended for extended periods without proper locking mechanisms. The outcome of this training was clear: GTI employees are now armed with practical strategies to fortify their stance against cybersecurity threats. By arming employees with knowledge and best practices, GTI Holding is taking proactive steps to create a robust cybersecurity culture within the organization. PROGRAM COMPONENTS: Pre-Launch: Before the program began, awareness campaigns were carried out, led by the GCEO's office and the office of HR.Program Launch (16th February 2024): During the launch of the program on the 16th of February 2024, there was an unveiling of the program's vision, mission, goals, and application process via a one-hour webinar.Monthly Mentor-Mentee Interactions: The bi-monthly meetings started in April with structured discussions organized by the Mentors.Quarterly Group Workshops or Webinars: We look forward to the interactive out- of- office sessions which will begin from the month of May.Networking Events: Bi-annual events for relationship-building and professional expansion are also another perk of the program the mentees will get to enjoy.Mid-Program Review: Mid program, an assessment session to evaluate progress and gather feedback will be conducted by the WMP Secretariat to track the progress and effectiveness of the program.Shadowing Opportunity: Mentees will be given the opportunity to shadow their mentors during daily activities, getting to end of the program.End-of-Program Celebration and Evaluation: At the end of the program, the entire program will be reviewed by the WMP Secretariat in terms of outcomes and plans for future enhancement.In conclusion, the GTI Women's Mentorship Program offers a transformative opportunity for GTI women to excel professionally.
